I received my AWD CT March 4th, it has 6772 miles on it. I'm a 5o+ old driver who drives normal on crappy so cal roads. I went into discount tire today to get them rotated. As you can see in the pic the rear tires have more wear. I asked about availability if one was damaged. All of Discount tires vendors are out of stock and one vendor told him they would possibly have more by July 17th not certain. I'm thinking of just ordering one to have in case I damage one. I don't want to have to wait who knows how long. To replace. The quote for all 4 of the same Wrangler tires with certificate would be about $2200. One tire alone without rim or mounting or cert is $409. I can't believe my rear tires are already at 7.

Can you confirm what type of wear it has after 6772 miles? Even across the tire or more towards the inside or outside edge?

If you have pictures that would be nice.

Thanks for the post! Great reminder. What is the recommended rotation pattern? It is not in the manual just that it is recommended every 6,250 miles.

I use Discount tires here in SoCal, but my experience is that their tire tread depth readers are a little on the low side. I use this tire tread depth gauge from Amazon and find it to be easy to use...I am planning to take my CT into a local alignment shop next week to have them measure what the alignment looks like in the low, medium and high settings...I'll post results here...

7?! 6200 miles, how aggressive do you drive? That seems like a short tire life.
My Tesla S tires last about 30k.

looking forward to the report on the alignment, especially on low, since I think for most of us most of our miles will be driven on low. agree also that discount tire/america's tire definitely runs low on the tread depth measurements haha. I also measure tread myself, and if I'm particularly bored I'll use the fingertip measurement method. definitely alerts you to, say, camber wear and it takes a second.

If the edges are wearing faster than the centers a bit more air pressure will help. That will also help them run cooler on the highway which will extend their life.

Do you typically travel with a lot of weight (passengers or things)?

Keeping the suspension in the lowest mode also helps because it reduces aerodynamic drag and thus the amount of work the tires have to do.

Interesting, my M3P tires , Perelli run about 485 each, they get 25-30k miles max the way I be driving. I calculate it to be about .10 cents per mile lol

There are always people that wear tires down at different rates. I have about 1/4 the miles the OP says and my tires look new (and should). I got about 25K on my Model Y tires and am hoping for similar on the CT (with hopefully fewer issues with nails).

Goodyear tires notoriously suck. We used to get discounts on them on our fire dept and you were lucky to get 12k miles out of them.

You have time… keep an eye on Discount Tire deals and IMHO keep and eye out for BFG KO2s. Those would be a great replacement for your tires. That will be my choice when the time comes.
