School me on how to get into this damn thing when I want to have "Driver Door Unlock Mode" selected? This mode makes it so only the front door and charge port unlock when I approach the vehicle which is what I want. I work alot at night and don't want someone coming in the passenger door as I'm getting in my vehicle. That being said, on the app when I click unlock, shouldn't it unlock all doors? Which would essentially be like a smart key for every other car in the world? It doesn't. If I want to show someone the vehicle and open up a door other than the front like the tailgate, frunk, rear or side door, I first have to go to my driver door and unlock them all, seems silly. I never thought I'd say I wish a vehicle had a regular key, but...

Yep. I tried using this option as well and found it was too much trouble to mess with and disabled it again.

Enabling Controls > Locks > Driver Door Unlock Mode only unlocks the driver's door when you first unlock Cybertruck. To unlock the remaining doors, long press the interior door open button, or use the touchscreen or mobile app.

Essentially, it looks like you have to open the driver's door and then long press the unlock button to open the rest of the doors. Not too helpful. Sorry.

Agree with everything you said except the mobile app Lock button seems to be overridden by the control in the truck, I can't seem to unlock all the doors with the app.... Hmmm. I've been trying the lock symbol on the main page in the app, maybe if I go to controls first the lock button that seems to be on the roof of the vehicle will unlock everything? Not near truck now

And why should you be able to unlock all doors.

If it is late at night and it is raining, and you want to make sure that the door is unlocked when you get to the vehicle and you have driver door unlock only selected, then it is doing the right thing.

What if it's pouring rain and I want to get the kids into the backdoor before I get in the truck?...
Then again, this fits my personality. I could run to my door and yell good luck bitches to my family.

This is definitely a fault of the truck, knew I was smarter than Elon Musk.

If anyone knows the guy, hit him up. At least one of the unlock buttons within the app should do all doors, whether it's the one on the main page or under the control setting.

Being forced to unlock all doors at once is just plain unsafe.

If you've got kids, then I'd question turning the feature on in the first place.

It's just odd, 45 years old with high school kids and never in my life would I consider wanting all of the doors unlocked at the same time without me making it intentionally happen. It's unsafe, but I'm from South Florida, soooo, 🤣

And with many years of driving, I never needed it or had it as an option in most vehicles.

So if you don't need it, no one does? 🤔

Most of the cars I've owned with a remote fob would unlock the driver's door on the first press of the remote, with the second press unlocking the rest.

Yep, that's convenient and I like it. Tesla should make double-pressing the external driver door button unlock all doors and vault. They should also make a long-press of the unlock button in the app unlock all doors.

Every car I've ever owned works this way, this is my first Tesla, learning curve.
