Pretty incredible design! If/when significant batter pack upgrades come along in the future, it looks like Foundation Series CT could easily accommodate swaps.

Looks like this drop out procedure is in the service manual. Hopefully they referenced it to make it quicker and safer.
They haven't done that on other Teslas that have drop outs like this tho.

I have my CT now, and it worth the wait since unveiled. People don't think about all the specials design and technology that come with the CT. I drive my CT to work everyday and I love every bit of it. I appreciate the fact that the CT existed in my lifetime.

This is really cool and not getting enough attention .
So if a new pack can be built with 30% more energy density the existing pack can be swapped out and repurposed as stationary storage. With Panasonic and LG in the 4680 business prices will fall. The economics might not be too bad. I was expecting a bunch of adhesive to deal with.
