Here’s the other thing.. I’ve e been through three car washes in 4 weeks- and the vault always gets 1-2 cups of water inside by the rear window. During the torrential rain storms over the past 2 weeks, the vault stayed dry!
From what I've been seeing on this matter it is a seal at the top of the vault that is the problem. Under the trim that is just rear of the roof glass. Correct me if I'm wrong, while driving that water would be shooting past that seal and right off the back of the Cybertruck. I have noticed that most water that gets in mine is at the front, by the rear window as to what you have said. There is a YouTube video where a husband fixes this issue for his wife's Cybertruck by replacing the seal.

Also curious of those 3 car washes were they all touchless, I thought I saw in the manual that all washes should be hand washing or touchless, and always with "Car Wash Mode" on. When I got my truck delivered to me it was filthy! And no amount of spraying water or soap is go to fix this. If I use
Bar Keepers Friend soft cleanser followed by Windex on the surface I get it shiny, but man that is very time consuming. I spent nearly an hour just on the front 2 panels of the Frunk. And it is obvious where I may not of scrub swirled the stuff around 100X.

Tesla Cybertruck Drving through tornado zone - Cybertruck drove like a dream 1744555054472-12

Look like a few small outlets picked up this story. I will try to get the videos up on here that we took. They aren't very good quality and I'm not even sure how to put a video up. I'm a quick learner.

The three car washes were NOT touch-less. They were brushes and included the Buccees ‘longest car wash you ever saw’. I won’t do it again given that the charger door is now loose, but many do take it through routinely (search car wash). It’s a tank- so should handle it fine, and it did except the power charger door loosened.

From now on, I’ll spray it off. The bar keepers is a great idea but I still work about 6 days a week and travel 60% so time is really a premium expense. She is dirty now (on its 9th day in SC with serious parking brake issues) and probably will be a bit dirty for life. That’s how I like em’.
