“I’m actually making history tonight as the first person with aspergers to host SNL. Or at least the first to admit it. So I won’t make a lot of eye contact with the cast tonight. But don’t worry, I’m pretty good at running human in emulation mode.”

Is that a real quote? Because I don't remember him admitting to being Autism Spectrum before. That would be huge to say on network television.

yeah live quote. I was a bit surprised too. Relatively good opening though. And the first skit was kinda interesting.

Miley just finished the first song. About half way done. So far I haven’t seen anything way out of whack. Elon’s doing pretty good so far I’d say. Next is weekend update though so who knows what will happen.

First story in weekend update:

“Um… I don’t know if you guys were following the news today, but a space rocket that was spinning out of control just minutes ago crashed into the ocean. And for once we know it’s not Elon’s fault. A lot of people have been wondering why he was hosting our show… And now we know it’s because he needed an alibi.”

In the commercial break I see a commercial for F9 the next movie in the fast and furious series. CT would have fit in so well there. Didn’t see it though.

I think Elon is doing well. But man, SNL is not funny. Trying way too hard and nothing is funny. Cringy.
I think the classically funny SNL may have been funny cause I was up past my bed time.

Just saw the Astronaut movie skit. I liked that one though.

Miley is doing her second song. I noticed all the brass instruments have a black cover over the large horn output end. I’m guessing it’s for a mask to control covid? Or is that for some sound effect?

I know, way off topic here.

“Or, hear me out on this, we could tunnel down into the earth and come up underneath them.

What?

They’re expecting a direct attack. But if we tunnel into the earth, we could come up underneath them, and surprise them.

Oh my god. There goes the genius talking about tunnels.

Tunnels? Leron, I thought you was the electric horse guy!

Yeah, isn’t that yours plugged in outside?”

Ok, this cowboy skit is great!

End of the show. Have to say that the best parts were when they leaned into Musk’s actual real life. Including his various ideas for improvements.

Overall I’d say Elon did much better than I expected!

I thought he did great. He is human and fallible. Dreaming big and making it happen. Yes I am a Muskovite.
