We lost our home in 2018 during the Woolsey Fire and forced to live in trailers due to the unconstitutional California Coastal Commission’s ridiculous environmental policies and Malibu City’s unwillingness to put a stay on environmental impact studies for Wildfire Rebuilds. Now the fire is about 5-6 miles away and we’re hooked up and ready to go. Due to a couple days without grid power we are periodically using our CyberTruck to keep our Starlink powered so we can communicate and get Fire Updates . Thank you Elon ! 🙏🏼❤

Hope you are safe and your home spared!

No use blaming anyone as some politicians are doing - instead of helping.

People insist on building un high risk zone, forest, canyons and shorelines.

We were twice refused insurance cover. Once in a developed area with trees but turn up to be formerly of desert brush that can be so tinder dry during seasonal drought.

We decided to take the risk while thrice given fire alert warnings within 8 years.

Nature has a way of reclaimation.

Come north, the air quality is pretty decent in Ventura County.
Yea, we’ll be headed your direction if the fire keeps progressing our direction. On a lighter note we found out the Airstrream running and tail lights sync to the Lightshow when the trailer is hooked up 😁

The unconstitutional California Coastal Commission has created Wildfire “Superhighways” with their protectionist ESHAs “Environmentally Sensitive Habit Areas”. Cities like Malibu now no longer use controlled burns to mitigate and manage brush overgrowth. So now these ESHAs prioritize theoretical wildlife habit and endanger human habit and life.
Now we have been targeted by Malibu Cities “Star Chamber” the Malibu Township Council in an attempt to drive us and many other vocal residents out because we question the legitimacy of these policies.

I agree, but I visited SF this fall to visit some family. Wow it’s insanely beautiful. Few years ago I visited Huntington Beach and Malibu. They have crazy good weather. It never rains. Obviously not good right now. Mountains and beautiful landscape. I’m from KY. California surprised me how nice the people are. There’s a lot of rich rude people but most are great. Im convinced KY has the nicest people but CA did surprise me. That’s why people put up with it. I just moved to FL and people honk like crazy. Probably the snowbirds from up East. I’m not moving there because I believe it’s peaked but it would be hard to leave if It was my home.

We have not been able to rebuild since the Woolsey fire in 2018. We have been living in these Airstreams on our burnout dirt lot for the past six years because we are still jumping through ridiculous environmental hoops imposed by the California Coastal Commission!
How long did it take to permit and build back in 2018?

Probably the 75° F August days . Also, if you were inclined, you can take your mountain bike , or surfboard , or dirtbike and head off in any direction in a days drive. Off road play grounds are beyond imagination in CA. The fishing is not just nasty ass swamp fish like bass or catfish . Pacific Bluefin tuna…Yup delicious. Hiking trails basically everywhere. And they actually go up and down, not like endless flat pancake land full of corn fields, truck stops , and zero hopes n dreams. Plus , the most cyber trucks in a given area !
