Last weekend at @ElectrifyExpo SF, we unveiled our Bed Rack Kit and 270° Awning, designed to fit together seamlessly with your Cybertruck. We've been hard at work refining these accessories to blend style, functionality, and affordability—all to enhance your outdoor adventures.

We also had a great chat with Wes Morrill, the lead engineer of the Cybertruck and Tesla’s Director of Engineering for Hardware Development, Reliability, Test, and Analysis for all Tesla vehicles. It was incredible to get insights straight from the source and see the enthusiasm around the Cybertruck’s future!

Apologies for any confusion! Internally, we’ve been calling it 'v2' just to differentiate between the kit on TesLatino’s truck (which we refer to as v1) and the 'v2' that’s on BeardedTesla’s truck, which is actually our official V1.0. We’re excited to be refining and improving as we move forward.

Thank you for your question! The tent is not included in the Bed Rack Kit and 270 Degree Awning package, but it is available as an add-on option. This allows for flexibility, so you can choose the configuration that best suits your needs. We are also refining the tent design and anticipate shipping it starting in spring.

Thank you for the clarification. Is the awning configured as driver side only or will there be a passenger side option? I imagine some scenarios where parking next to curb I would want to deploy it on the side of the grass/dirt/etc and not the street.

You're welcome! We offer two 270-degree awning options: one for the passenger side and one for the driver side, giving you flexibility based on your parking needs. Additionally, our previous square side awnings, designed for one side, can also be mounted on the opposite side if needed. We plan to use both awnings on our next trip and will send you pictures later!

That’s great! I imagine another reason might be at a campsite you have the car plugged in on the driver side so would want to open out to the passenger side.

Good call! Opening to the passenger side while plugged in on the driver side makes a lot of sense at a campsite. Thanks for mentioning it!

Yes, the Tesla light bar mounts on the front windshield, and our roof rack’s wind fairing is positioned just behind that, on the front of the roof glass. So, they’ll work together seamlessly!
