Experience after driving from last 2 days

Good stuff:

• Very comfortable and smooth riding like SUV.
• I was surprised with no panel gaps like others said - this truck has beautiful exterior.
• Steer by wire turning is fantastic.
• Checked all functionalities and work great, air suspension's height adjustments are pretty smooth. (I will take it off-road ride sometimes in couple of weeks to see how it handles)
• Interior also is beautiful with colored light lines and stunning, i will list down shortcomings in next section though.
• Tonneau cover is very nice for the truck bed.
• Tested the power share functionality by charging model-y, it charges 27 miles per hour
• I believe this is well suited for farming in addition to daily commute. I will see how it handles on rough roads/farms in future
• Charging is 16 to 17 miles per hour through mobile charger at home with 240 volts connector
• By the way rear view mirror limitation that every one has concerns can be resolved by turning on rear camera view on the console. It has a very clear and wider rear view.

Not-Good stuff: (but few things are on the way)

• Wiper blade is huge - tried to squeeze the soap water to clean the pollen, it did not clean clearly first couple of tries - had to repeat three / four times to clean it clearly.
• No FSD available yet - expected in few weeks as per the delivery engineer.
• No wheel covers - i believe they send them later.
• There was one hook missing in truck bed, they will send it later I believe.
• There was an email on power share and on a voucher of $2500. Not sure what we need to do here. Instead, Tesla should have sent a contractor themselves instead we look for someone whom we do not know

Is it worth extra 20k? may be yes after we get FSD.

Responses from strangers:

• Mostly positive - thumps up, horn with wish, etc
• Kids love this and they reached out to allow them to see the interior
• Other fellow drivers on freeway were trying to be close to truck - may be to see it closely.

If you are not on very rugged terrain, you will get the smoothest ride by leaving it in a normal road mode. You don't want to bottom out the truck, but even in the normal road modes it has better approach and departure angles and more ground clearance than many SUVs and CUVs (set ride height preference to higher).

If you don't mind a little increased body roll (you will not be performance driving), you can make the ride a little smoother by selecting the Slippery Surface option in the On-Road Modes. This connects the air springs of different wheels together.

Baha Mode stiffens it up and is for high performance (fast) driving over rugged terrain. The minimum damping rates feel like they are increased to prevent running out of suspension travel when the suspension is taking hard hits.

Overland Mode has the highest suspension settings, much higher than you will generally need (the two highest settings are speed limited). In general, use the lowest suspension setting that is adequate to not bottom the chassis and that provides sufficient approach and departure angles for the terrain you are on. The ride is not as smooth in the higher settings.

Tip: learn to read the lay of the trail to pick the smoothest, least jarring lines. It's amazing how the driver can smooth the terrain simply by taking advantage of the nimbleness of the Cybertruck's steering to snake your way through the smoothest portions of the terrain. The other side of this coin is having the appropriate speed for each microsection of the trail. When in doubt, go slower.

I agree with your points here. Everyone that I’ve taken for a ride has been shocked at how smooth the ride is. Also, pretty much no road/wind noise which is a big improvement over my old 2018 Model 3. It will be great to see how the Cybertruck improves over time as well as see more on the road!
