Here is the same video with proper and appropriate music!
Nice! Sounds like Kalax or some other synthwave band. Synthwave will be the music of choice in my CyberTruck. It totally fits the look and feel of the truck!

“Musk says that the Model 3 prototypes that they are building now are ‘almost entirely built with production tooling’, which is why they are referring to the vehicles as ‘release candidates’ instead of beta prototypes.”
Previously did some digging around this, and - as far as folks outside Tesla can tell - “release candidates” as applied to vehicle development correlates roughly to “production validation” or “pilot production.”

Tesla has also previously differentiated between “early” and “late” RCs.

As you say, it’s an iterative process - to discover and work out kinks and flaws in the production line or resulting vehicles.

On the point of today’s video from Tesla showing the seats being put through testing: also likely “production validation” - especially if critical components from 3rd parties. Roughly intended to ensure that every component meets the same life expectancy/use requirements, as applicable - such as the 50,000 entry/exits of the seats being tested.

While not determinative of the CT’s timeline, in the past there has been as much as 4 months between Tesla/Musk first mentioning an RC and the first “production vehicle” coming off the line.

suppose it depends on how the iterative process goes

If he told you his real name, it starts with a "C".

For anyone else reading this, there are some key visual differences between the truck in the clip and the truck that was just built Friday.
Cvalue13? what?

Care to share what those "key visual differences" are? Regarding the truck that was just built, you couldn't see much of it since it was in a crowd of workers. I don't know how you can come to that conclusion.

I guess we are getting the BAW :)
At this point I'm OK with the BAW.

At least it isn't like this Bronco. One of the most anemic I've ever seen.
