Love my Tesla, but don’t love the wait! Seems to be the growing issue everywhere with more EV on the road?

Sadly there are two CCS chargers in my city and they haven’t been in use every time I roll by??!

Seems like tesla is upgrading all the chargers at the sites with magic dock. Which means they better get rolling on adding new supercharger sites in urban area. Its crazy in SF, we only have one real supercharger site that doesn't cost money to park at. Tesla needs to just rent some warehouses and install chargers inside and put a lounge/restroom for customers. Plenty of rentable properties, very little open space for outdoor chargers in the city.

Generally, most chargers should be empty - they have to be built for peak use, not median. So that one holiday or hour they max out at is the target.

And the Tesla app is getting better and they hope to have predictive use to tell you to use the charger on the other side of the highway so everyone doesn't pile into one lot. Even to the point of doing traffic distribution and predictive modeling to help alleviate congestion.

This new station in Tulsa Oklahoma should solve the problem with those pesky EVs with ports in awkward places.

Brilliant.

Granted some locations are tight for space, but I've been wondering when space is not a constraint, why they kept installing the old configuration.

Nice. Makes me wonder if Tesla had a bunch of these sitting in a warehouse waiting for the Biden thing.
Given my experience getting electronics manufactured, the only reasonable way they could have the parts available in less than about 5 months is to have started the process before they got the final approval.

You can tee up these things months in advance and give the go-signal at the last second, assuming you have good relationships with your CMs and you have ab established record as a profitable customer. But it's still pretty tight.

We’ve been seeing drawings of this beast for months. Many of us expected to see them before the end of last year. I’m sure it’s no coincidence that these started popping up in a bunch of places right after the Biden meeting.
