For the forgotten frunk plebs

Any word when us Android peasants may be blessed with the auto frunk opening? Feels like nothing has been said since the initial update and release..

No, but it’s not been a very helpful feature for me anyway. 98% of the time it starts to beep when I don’t want to open the frunk and I have to step away. Like when I was washing my windshield. I had to put my phone father away while I did it. OR while walking in front of the truck.

I think an action, like other automakers have done, would work better. i.e putting my foot under the vehicle.

At the end of the day, I just don’t need the feature that often. Because of this, I am going to turn it off to stop bothering me. It would be more helpful for the tailgate where I am likely to be carrying more stuff to put in.

yeah, it would be good if they made it 2 factor... 1 would be if you wave your foot in front of the camera and the other would use the 'NFC' in your phone - BOTH would need to be there... Less false openings I think...

But hey, they will get the bugs worked out from the iPhone first and then us poor slobs using Androids will have it 'just work'... hehe...
