I've recently been noticing many, many people that don't seem to know how to use a fast food drive through correctly or with any sort of sense. It got me thinking though.

How does FSD currently handle traversing a drive through process? And once we start having robotaxis with no steering controls, how will the drive through process be handled?

I've seen some people go through the drive through while in an a Lyft ride. Of course that is relatively the same as just driving yourself. But once the driver is no longer a thing, how is FSD going to know when to stop for ordering, which windows to stop at, when to move to the next window, etc.

Currently, FSD will just drive through the parking lot and find its way out and back to a road - unless the destination is set and MAYBE it will park, have about a 50% parking rate where I live - much higher in bigger cities tbh. There is no logic for the ordering lanes or windows, or anything else.
I imagine in the future of robotaxi zen, it’ll probably be able to figure that out, but for now FSD will take you there and POSSIBLY park.
