Impressive! Sometimes FSD seems so advanced like this, then other times it drives me over the curbs in a turnabout, over the line in the passing lane going well under the speed limit, or drives into the shoulder thinking its a lane.

I'm eager for it to cross a point where I feel I can trust it fully. Maybe I just have bad luck? I see people online saying FSD is "solved" and have zero takeovers, but that just has not been my experience.

Yes! It’s life-saving technology. I don’t know if I would’ve had the time or the composure to make the maneuver.

Did you get an audible/visual alert from FSD before the maneuver or did it behave as usual? I've been curious how different accident avoidance is from FSD itself.

Is Cybertruck your only Tesla?

The lane placement (and other kinematics) of FSD in the 60,000 Cybertrucks is still pretty rough compared to the millions of other Tesla. Update is incoming soon.

My wife's 2024 Model 3 Performance has FSD that is stunning, even when compared to already pretty good FSD in the Cybertruck (and her car is still on version 13).

Things are about to get amazing (both in the Model 3 and Y and also in the Cybertruck). Tesla is on this, but it doesn't happen on your schedule, it happens when it happens. And version 13 is already better than Joe public even knows, even version 13 in the Cybertruck.

I did not get a warning. It just did its thing.

Did you intervene at all?
My CT LOVES to plow through road debris and after running over a big piece of tire, a cooler, and a couple cardboard boxes I always violently take over when I see road debris.
Debris avoidance needs a lot of work to even thing about full autonomy but your vid looks like a step in the right direction.

It happened really fast. I was already through the debris before I even realized what happened.
