I am on v13.2.2 driving on the freeway. I am cruising above 60mph with FSD engaged for a good amount of the trip. FSD shuts off with red flashing and audible alarm to notify driver to take control of the vehicle. I do so, my passenger is now concerned and frightened. After the alarms subsided I am driving the vehicle when I noticed that vision system seem to have malfunctioned. Cybertruck when driving in expanded visualization has great “presence” and “awareness”, those perceived senses were gone for some time under a minute. That is when “awareness” activated and things seemed normal. I was able to enable FSD again where I interrupted it immediately and gave a voice feedback to check why FSD malfunctioned as I was concentrating on driving under duress and getting back to the important conversation I was having.

I do have to say FSD supervised is minimal input driving. I really enjoy the profiles and how dynamically an operator can change the behavior. I want to applaud the FSD team for the milestones in each update. This thread is not a rant but to be seen as a perspective in a customer providing feedback and concern to improve FSD for all of us.

I've been with fsd public release since the very beginning on our model 3, and now CT. The v13 release scared the shit out of me when it suddenly, and very expertly I should add, overtook a vehicle on CA 395, a very dark 2 lane middle-of-nowhere highway. I've NEVER seen fsd merge into oncoming traffic at high speeds. But it did great, just might need a pacemaker after that though...

I have video saved from it yeeting itself from the far left lane in order to catch the exit I just programmed into the route lol. No-one was behind us, so it had the freedom to cut it close.

I hit exactly the same last weekend. This was the first time I had hit this, and I was confused for a couple of seconds. Fortunately, we were on a long, straight bridge, so I had enough time to react. I tried to re-enable FSD immediately but failed. The rear camera view was still functioning when the red flashing and audible alarm happened, but it blacked out after I took over. After under a minute, the rear camera view was back, and I could enable FSD again.

The rear camera view was clear before this happened, so it shouldn't be due to dirt on the camera. There was fog but not too heavy. I could see vehicles in front of and behind me clearly.
