Overall, not bad but definitely very far from unsupervised capability.

dangerous behavior noted:

1) when FSD automatically adjusted speed to posted speed limit it frequently saw a 30-45 mph speed limit on a 70-75 mph freeway requiring immediate intervention to avoid sudden braking on the freeway. This happened on a stretch around Colorado Springs I-25 S at least 3 times.
2) on US 6 east of Price, UT it misread a turn lane and began to veer into the oncoming lane of the highway
3) likes to tailgate, speed, and jump in front of people in roundabouts

Various scenarios tested:
1) it can take dirt roads with navigation but it will drive in the middle and become very slow
2) it will handle paved roads with no markings and manage to stay reasonably aligned with an invisible “lane”
3) pretty good on windy roads with variable hazards (rock faces, drop offs etc.) even at night
4) extremely questionable judgment when turning especially if there is a blind spot such as with roundabouts - better to intervene if there is traffic rather than roll the dice every time
5) not bad with some dicey road construction that include following cone designated pathways that do not follow the original road but not so good if you have to venture outside of lane markings.
6) likes to change lanes out of HOV and often cannot see the double lines and starts to drive on the line.
7) attention monitoring extremely naggy and sees your phone. You can barely look at the center screen or lean forward for a stretch without triggering aggressive warnings.
8) like others have noted it has questionable lane change decision making.

At this stage FSD is pretty good but it requires a lot of manual input and the attention monitoring is pretty aggro so you have to plan ahead and avoid looking away for too long and if you block the camera in any way it will aggressively ask for steering inputs. It is still far better than any other system I’ve ever used and drove a lot more efficiently than I normally drive. Definitely looking forward to the next big update.
