Whenever the economy gets heated, consumption of transportation fuel spikes, and production can't keep up and futures spike exponentially.
Lumber is something that can change production pretty highly from year to year (although it should have a fifty year lead-time) so he's probably right, tho it'll take two years.

Where I'm getting this from is for the fun of it. I check Carvana, in the search window I type in "Electric". For the longest time, there might be a few electric cars here or there on hold or in the buying process. Now, only the first 3 pages of electric cars are for sale, all of the rest of the screens are pending or in the buying process. There are only a few Tesla cars on there. Mostly Nissan Leaf, BMW i3s and Chevy Volts.
