General warranty that Tesla Provides

Basically I've never had a Tesla before, still waiting for beast vin.. But I have a general question in regards to warranty, as we all know every single car manufacturer is producing vehicles with defects, CT is no different. What is the general warranty on Tesla vehicles? Battery is separate warranty from rest of the vehicle correct? Anything that is exempt from their warranty?

Not a rain on parade, but like many warranties Tesla excludes just about everything that connects to the pack. Just the pack itself it covered. The PCS, and the charge port etc are all excluded.

The PCS do fail, and out of warranty not cheap. Look it up on other forums. So beyond 50k one is on their own. Suspension out of warranty on an S can be about 1k a piece with labor Please do read the warranty on the battery. There are hurdles to reach to cause a warranty on batteries. They tend to be very hard to achieve the degradation in the period. It would have to be very faulty.

The OP is new to Tesla. So cut and dry is not always cut and dry.

So do the work if one is so inclined. Look up some of the parts costs, and labor to replace the items that fail. Sure some will say I never had a problem and drove my car for 4 years and 50k. I tend to drive the car or truck at 50k a year. So I have to look at all costs.

I like to make purchase decisions being as informed as I can. Repair/maintenance costs help me make decisions.

The entire vehicle is covered by the vehicle warranty. After that expires, only the battery and drive unit is covered by the battery and drive unit warranty is covered.

I had a charger that failed under warranty, replaced.

And the 50K thing didn't really help you much. Not only was it a little out of context, but often wrong.
50k what? And it's actually 4 years or 50k miles. LOTS of people lose warranties at 4 years.

And it's NOT just the pack itself. You'd actually have to look at the link that I included to get the details.

That's why I gave you some credit, but backed up my point with details from Tesla.

Example of an item not covered outside of standard 50k. People have gone to arbitration and lost saying this is part of battery.

These are failing. Sure they will be fixed, but what if yours fails? How much? Outside of warranty. These teething issues could be issues for high mile drivers if not fixed or not discovered till later.

Yet you address nothing else. Which makes the OP miss that minor issues like these are about 2k to fix. I think it is implied that the title of the warranty is such.

If you read my post you will see I only mentioned a battery. You like a police officer interrogated and changed narrative. You added your issues. Yet mine were still 100% correct. I never mentioned the title of warranty. I just said things are not necessarily covered. Like the oil pump on the motor is not covered. Ask an S owner. Or if the seals fail on the motor. Not covered. So it is not cut and dry.
