Let's see.

Gotta love the advancements in batteries AND the fact that I am not compulsively obsessed with Tesla.

Awwwwww shucks, sorry all -- hehehe.

"AND the fact that I am not compulsively obsessed with Tesla."

This sounds like the new

"Hey, did you know I've never seen an episode of Game of Thrones?"
Everyone: "No one cares"
"No seriously, I've never seen a single minute, just doesn't interest me."
Everyone: "Seriously. We really don't care."

This is all rather dubious and hard to believe that it would ever get off the bench even if it is true.

Also it's a chinese firm and they've got a good track record of promising the world then putting almost none of those features into production, if they even get that far.

Do all of these companies just think that the public is too stupid to see through their bloviating about their EVs that they either have yet to produce or have been saying they'll make for nearly a decade now?

Agreed battery advancements are very cool. However this article needs to be taken for what it is, a bit of self promotion as no time line is provided.

It's all give and take with battery technology, the lithium iron phosphate in not as energy dense and heavier/bulkier than the typical lithium ion batteries. That said they apparently last longer and are not as effected by temperature.
https://blog.epectec.com/lithium-iron-phosphate-vs-lithium-ion-differences-and-advantages#:~:text=Lithium-ion has a higher,iron phosphate outmatches lithium-ion.

Limiting Factor does some great in depth discussions on battery tech if you're interested.

The design is pretty cool, and they are putting the same cells as the Tesla Model 3.

I hope they'll be able to standardize!
