That is 100% false. I've met 100's of "Tesla curious" people. Many have told me they are thinking of getting one and are curious about things like range, features and reliability. I don't recall any that mentioned Musk in a bad light (and a few that mentioned him as amazing and/or forward looking).

The Musk hate is mostly irrational. He doesn't promote hate speech, he stands up for freedon of speech while de-promoting hate speech on X. That's right, he actually does the exact opposite of promoting hate speech. This is just one more made-up false narrative designed to turn people away from EVs and keep them sucking gas.

If it's 100% false, I must be hallucinating when my two most liberal companions repeatedly tell me how awful it is that I bought a vehicle that supports hate speech loving Musk.

Obviously I own two EVs, one a Tesla, these are not my viewpoints. But I hear this stuff nonstop.

To my eye, it looks like you're hanging out with a bunch of ignorant people who can't think for themselves.

It's true, there are people who profess hate for Musk, the same can be said for any public figure, even the President of the United States. But it's 100% false that Musk is universally hated by non-Tesla drivers. You are shamelessly spreading fake rhetoric designed to give people who don't know much about him, a negative impression of him.

Any drivers experienced the middle finger by ICE truck drivers? Today I got a double whammy of the bird + a thumbs down. I really wonder how they would be if I was parked and we were both outside of our cars.

I don't choose my friends based on their political beliefs. I have friends on both ends of the political spectrum, it's good to not wall ourselves out from different ideology, which is something Musk himself preaches as an advocate of free speech.

It's just shocking to me that I'm apparently the only person on the whole forum that's had liberal people give them crap about driving a Tesla. My girlfriend was at Starbucks and a guy next to her gave her the roll down the window motion. When she did, the guy yelled at her about Musk. It happens, but apparently only to me and my gf...

It's sad the things you find meaningful in life. I've never owned a car or motorcycle in my 45 years of vehicle ownership that someone didn't give me crap about. Most people gave positive feedback, even my VW Beetle that came from Hitler. Honestly, I can't say it happens anymore with the Teslas. If anything, I think the people making fun of the Tesla have a little secret jealously compared to the people who made fun of any other vehicle I owned.

Nobody said some people don't hate Musk, that's normal and expected, especially given the unprecedented attacks on someone disrupting so many profitable industries.

Why do you keep making pretzels out of dough by claiming you are the only person who has noticed this?

My favorite lately. Is guy in a older orange Jeep in Sandpoint with top down mint condition one of those fake spring days a few weeks ago. Says I still think mine is cooler, and nice truck. Very nice and friendly. I think we all have images in our mind of who a person is from a certain locale.
I have found if I close my mind too much, life can get very boring. Open it. Ya get to meet some really nice and friendly people. Psychological projection gets us all from time to time.

Think how great the world would be of it didn't get us all ever.

I've had my CT one week. It's my 3rd Tesla but first time I've found myself getting flipped off while driving 'normal', sitting at a stoplight and even while waiting in car line to drop off donations at Value Village. Also got a thumbs down from oncoming traffic on a couple occasions, including a person in a city utility vehicle.

We live on eastside of Seattle where Teslas and Rivians are abundant. So are extremely expensive luxury cars and fully customized 4x4s.

I understand the CT is 'polarizing' but it's curious how some people think it's:
1) a symbol of support for Elon's views/behaviors
2) an expression of wealth/affluence
3) supporting anti-ICE agenda
4) and so on...

In summary, I love the CT but loathe the way some people feel compelled to express themselves in response to seeing it.

In other news...anyone know where I can buy a None of the Above sticker from Brewster's Millions?

Nothing we can do about Elon's tweets. But we can influence how the public percieves CT owners. Hopefully once the Foundation Series is over people start taking delivery and are generally nice human beings so the CT is not viewed as a "d****mobile"

I would hazard a guess that views and reacrions to Cyberrruck is political as their overall views on EVs (EV vs ICE), solar and alternative energy and the climate issues.

People's and us stockholders' view about Elon is another subset and transcends or aligns with political leanings.

95% of the feedback I've gotten over the past 2 weeks has been positive. Got one thumbs down by a young kid driving a 15 year old Sonata. Like his opinion is worth anything to me, or the world for that matter.
