I have to clear this up, because I see this on this forum all the time.

”Grok say that For is true and Bar is false”

But Grok searches the internet to its information, and for old information that’s fine, tons of sources and lots of data to cross reference. But when something new happens especially rumors about Cybertruck and tesla stuff, there is very little information. And this is what happens.

Person A posts on Cybertruckowenersforums: I heard that Foo is true.
Person B: I also heard that.
Person C: Not only that Bar is false.
Person D: (Uses grok, grok searches internet for answer, only 2 results about Foos and Bars, both from cybertruckonwersfourms arguing about it being true. So Grok sees it must be true) Grok confirms that Foo is true and Bar is false.

This is also true other AI agents as well. But others typically will provide sources for the info.

The important thing to remember is that GROK does not have any inside information about Tesla.

... except someone, ahem... steals ideas from this forum and posts them as "articles". Then, Grok will reference those articles.

Yes and I would like to add that WE ALL already have access to Grok, so doing a search and copying/pasting the answer here has ZERO VALUE to any of us, even if the info is correct (which it ain't).

Agree and this just moves us toward to the dead internet where it'll just be bots posting stuff and responding to posts. Humans will get pushed out.

Just quoting this part again in case anyone missed it...
Just returned from a trip to Florida. On Sunday afternoon, I was trying to find a seafood restaurant near me that was open.
Grok found one that sounded good and was open. We arrived to find it closed on Sundays! We asked Grok again and found it was quoting SATURDAY information!!
Since Grok let me down on that one, I've learned to be a little more cautious!

It's crazy how sometimes it can be so good and sometimes so bad. I've had it tell me not wash my truck because it was snowy and just going to get dirty, and then I said, are you sure, it looks pretty sunny and dry in my area. Then it was like "oh yeah, it is a good day in your area to wash your truck. But then the other day I asked "I'm hauling some lumber that's sticking out more than 4 feet from the back of the truck with a red flag on it, is that legal?" And it replied, "Yes in Colorado, at this time, during the day, all you need is a red flag, unless its more than 10 feet over, then you need a permit"

I asked for a weather forecast in my area, told me showers etc. (i live in phoenix) I inquired where the weather was for and was told Florida. I then asked for the Phoenix forecast and was told that was not possible.
