I’m considering replacing V1 due to non functioning front camera.

is there also a V2+?

It’s my understanding that I will also need to replace the rear camera. Snaking the V1 wire was a pain. Any helpful videos?

And I would appreciate a link for STL file for new rear camera housing.

is Hansshow still the buyers choice for the rear view mirror replacement?
many thanks for guidance and sharing experiences etc.

Multiple available online:

  2. I ordered this one to replace it and it's currently what's on my truck https://www.etsy.com/listing/4349308078/tesla-cybertruck-rear-camera-housing-for

There is a v2 and what some people call a v2.5, which has the front facing camera built into the mirror instead of external mount. Just a heads up, there is a problem with the wire harness on the new v2 one where it knocks out one or two of your passenger speakers - they have said they are working on fixing the problem but other users and myself have not been able to get a resolution for months. The files for the housing are on Makerworld, but you're probably better off buying it from hansshow if you buy the mirror, its an extra $10..
I believe @TeslaKen has an install video on it, I'll let him take it from here and give you the link.

The 1st housing you printed i have modified and made available in the comments of the listing you provided in the first item on your list. I printed mine from PetG and it worked great and is still fine on my truck after 8 months. You csn also find it available in the article on my site at www.halocybertruck.com

I bought a camera for 100 bucks and printed a housing for the roof.

I have the Hansshow v2.5 camera. I like it for the most part. My only issue with it is the fact that the UI was clearly made in China. It looks cheap and very finnicky. The camera itself is great.

I believe there is a V2 but I am waiting for a version that has integrated side cameras (e.g., that uses the Gentex FDM/CMS system) as well.

@TeslaKen what Bambu 3d printer did you use to print the Big Bed Cannon? It's pretty large. I know you did it in pieces but each section still looks pretty big for a hobby level printer, how many hours was it?
Oh I didn’t know the cannon in the bed was 3D printed. Thats one of the coolest mods. Must be a massive printer for that.

He printed it in sections and assembled, I don't think they make a printer large enough to print a big bed cannon that size in one shot... Maybe some industrial level stuff could.

X1 Carbon 255x255x255 print space, about 65 parts and took about a month to print it all. Should be some articles on my website about it and lots of pics.
