Has anyone found 12V in the rearview mirror pod?

I know I can run my radar detector off of the USB-C port in the center console, but I would like to avoid running wires up to the mount location by the center mirror.

Interested in this as well. What detector do you run?

There is a thread you can search for that went over this and a member found 12v up there. He had pictures and shows you what he tapped into. He runs his Uniden detector off of it.

Update: Here it is… info is on page 3

I have three Escort Passport 8500's that I switch between my various cars and motorcycles when needed. They are all all pretty old, but they are robust in the rain and wind and from getting lose in the cabin. They don't have the connectivity bells and whistles, but I don't need or want that, just a heads up when radar or laser is being used in the vicinity. They have saved my bacon numerous times, even with laser, at least on my motorcycles which present a more difficult target.

Great, let us know when you do! A good thing to do would be to hook two detectors up to test how much overhead there is on whatever circuit you tap into (see if the circuit breaker activates).

Is there any aftermarket “cap” that can be screwed in in place of the mirror? I thought there was a previous thread on this, but I couldn’t find it when searching. My tonneau is closed 99% of the time. And even when it’s open, I have the on screen rear view mirror turned on.
