I'm pretty proud of this hack- for $30 you get an ultra-tough 3D bed liner to protect you from scratches. I'll report back after the weekend when I load some gravel.

I plan to fill her up to the L-Track (not sure how the lights would fare against rocks being dumped on them) while using this to preserve the bed for camping.
I do have a bed liner on the bottom as well that will be a bit more cushiony.

I do plan to close the tailgate for all you worrywarts, but it is cool that this could potentially hold stuff in up to the end of the tailgate (8' long)

Worked like a charm and came out clean as a whistle! I was able to scrape with a transfer shovel and did not cut up the green fabric at all.

They did have a rubber mat to protect the back window that this didn’t cover.

One square yard in a triangle. 🤣

It was wild having the tonneau closed, feeling very secure with the load and nobody knew I had a ton of rocks in it. Especially not the cybertruck! Acceleration and turning was flawless, I only felt it a bit in the momentum And stopping distance.

It’s like a super duty tarp. It can hold 3.3k lbs in a 4’x8’ surface area so that should give you an idea. I’ll make a quick video, I got a bad blister and plenty sore unloading it haha.

I’m pretty sure it’s only $30 because they expect you to pay for the removal.

Awesome that is a great idea! I'm getting ready to dig a foundation for a shed, and I've been hesitant to do so because I don't want to pay a $100 delivery charge for 2-3 yards of gravel, and I don't need 10 yards to get a discounted delivery fee. This should work good enough. Thanks for the post,

Yes I drive a Cybertruck, but I am very cheap in most all other aspects of my life.

I did one yard and honestly I’m pretty sure 2 would have been easy. Not sure if I’d go for three, but it’d be great if you could post some pics of your load so we can make some estimates.
I was originally thinking of just getting a half yard but it was tiny.

Also realized - If you wanted to use it as a cover for oversize things in the rain (if Tonneau wasn't closeable) then it also could apply upside down.

Agree?

So that is a very nice solution. 100% need to do this, use a tarp, etc when moving dirt/gravel/hay or anything else that will slip between the cracks and collect underneath and on the compressor.
Nice find.

For those looking to pick up and not pay shipping looks like a lot of Lowes have them.

And just under $30 is probably the wholesale price too.
