I've noticed recently that it seems like my bioweapon defense mode still lets in some smells. Today I was behind a car smoking really bad, so I instant turned on bioweapon mode and I could still smell the smoke. My truck is 19 months old, maybe the filter is just worn out? Anyone else notice this?

The filter needs to be replaced after 24 months of typical conditions; sooner if you are around a lot of wildfires or something similar.

It's a bit of a misnomer that the HEPA system is good enough to delete smells; it isn't. It will remove more than 99% of particulates, but it's certainly not a clean or containment room lol.

Makes sense. Haven't had many wildfires here since I got it. But in the past it was pretty good at keeping out smells like smoke. Maybe it's just time to change it. I'm at about 19 months old.
