I’m on FSD 14.2, huge improvement so far. Love that it stays in the center of the lane more than anything (that was so overdue for the Cyber Truck). However, I have some minor gripes.
We need real time options on screen to select from.
For example when going to somewhere with a parking spot it should ask if you’d like to back into a spot or pull in forward. Right now there seems to be no reasoning. I have had it back it twice and pull forward 4 times. I can’t figure out why it does one over the other. This includes when returning home and pulling into my driveway. It has backed in once and pulled in forward 4 times. I need it to back in every time, as I charge in my driveway.
Same thing with real time options, but with OHV/Carpool lanes. In the navigation screen, I do have enabled use OHV lanes. However, sometimes it still doesn’t. It doesn’t ask me, just doesn’t use them. Other times it does. I have had it happen where it enters the carpool lane, and then a couple exits later tries to exit the carpool lane, only to re-enter it again. To be clear this is with no traffic. So it’s not like it is doing this to avoid traffic and stay on the quickest route. What would be nice is as we get on the freeway or approach a OHV lane, it asks to utilize with I can select yes or no. On that same front, once in it, it should give us a command to exit carpool (so when needed) we can get out of it instead of stay locked in it.
In these scenarios above I am for now having to disengage FSD and take over and make the truck do what I want it to do.
I’m sure there are more use case for on screen options to select from for FSD preferences in real time than just what I mention.
