So, I went tailgating yesterday at the Limp Bizkit concert. I went to roll down the windows and turn the music up. Then, I excited the vehicle and closed all the doors. To my surprise, the front screen turned completely off and turned off the music. I left my phone inside so the vehicle wouldn't lock, but every I excited the vehicle and closed the doors, everything would turn off driving me to get in the vehicle and turn on everything again...

Frustrating....

So, how do you leave the screen on/music on while you are not in the vehicle. I want to be able to listen to my jamz while drinking and BBQin from my tailgate.

Any advice?

Or leave a door cracked open, that's what I did in my MS when my kids were in the backseat listening to something and I had to leave them in the car for a minute. Haven't tried it on the CT. When tailgating you'd have to turn off climate so you don't drain battery. Camp mode also leaves climate on correct? I'm assuming you can control both climate AND volume through the app with either of these methods. I'm traveling right now but I'm gonna try all these options when I get back. Let me know what you find.

Yesterday, we did crack the door open so it wouldn't shut off, just thought there is a more efficient way. Looks like camp mode is the solution especially if I can control climate from the app. Thanks you everyone.

Yes, camp mode and boom box. You can also control the music and volume from the app. I did this posting up outside the truck while my son was at a local skatepark.

Camp mode works.
Leaving the door cracked for continuous sound has worked on multiple Teslas on our street.
I've never done this but the car uses weight sensors in the seat to detect if someone is sitting in them. You might be able to leverage this as well.

Why would you need to add weight to the seat when Tesla has provided Camp Mode for this purpose?

The only reason would be if Camp Mode uses too much energy for your liking. I did this before Camp mode came out on my M3. Probably don't need to do this anymore.

Why would camp mode use more energy than you liked? You can turn off the climate control and lights.

I mean, either you want to play the stereo or you don't. Camp mode keeps the stero active. Turn off anything you don't want consuming power. Your suggestion to put a weight in the seat would also keep the climate active, unless manually turned off.

So, I ask again, why would you need to put a weight in the seat when you have Camp Mode? It seems like you are just trying to make it seem sub-optimal. Let's compare using the Cybertruck as a boombox when parked vs. my ICE F-150:

1) First you have to ignore that the F-150's stereo sounds so bad I can't imagine ever wanting that thing playing (I avoid listening to it when driving because the music sounds so muffled and starts distorting grossly before the sound level is even loud.

2) The key must be in the ignition turned to "Accessory"

3) If you want to hear it, you have to leave the front doors open so the door speakers can be heard.

4) #3 (above) causes the door chime to continuously sound. Not really practical.

Lol, camp mode wasn't always a thing. It was something I tried and seemed to work. Again, it's probably not relevant with Camp Mode anymore.
