How is the reservation system going to really work?

Currently Tesla reservations (say for MY)
You get on the list to order a vehicle,
They give you the email stating you can select the vehicle you want and options.
They assign a VIN # to your account.
Then you have 2 weeks to get financing and pick up the vehicle .
If you choose to not purchase at this time, then your reservation is canceled and you go to the endo f the line.

So for Cyber truck,
If you get your notification and the cost of the truck is really high due to being one of the first group of people.
If the price is high or you need a large deposit to place the order,
And you decide not to purchase now and wait for the price to drop down,
Do you loose your spot on the reservation list?
Do you have to go to the end of the line before you get another chance to purchase again?

So those at the front of the line that may be in this position,
This will not be fair that they loose their spots in line and go to the end of the line.

Tesla will have a drop-dead point where they cancel outstanding reservations.

But as long as people from the reservation queue are waiting on trucks they've been actually offered, and Tesla doesn't have trucks waiting for buyers, that won't happen.

I have no idea. I can imagine them stepping through the reserve queue looking for buyers ready to configure at the initial inflated pricing. If you demur, your place in line doesn't change, but you'll probably not get another chance to order until the next pass through the list. This way someone low on the list will be able to purchase the truck sooner than others further up the list if they are willing to pay a higher price.

I hope this is the case. I am close to the top of the list, so I hope thye offer the truck at a decent price so i can afford to get one immediately, but if thye start out at $90K, I would have to think about waiting. I just don't want to give up my turn in line.
