Hmmm. I ordered on 10/3. Still awaiting VIN #.
Is there any means to find out what the holdup might be? Thanx

When I ordered my FS I waisted a week with no vin then decided no harm in asking. I opened the app and went to the chat and asked “when might I expect a vin”? With in 5 min I got a response “how are you paying “ I told him he called me in 5 min and asked if I was able to pick up the truck in the next few days he could find me a vin. 2 days later vin came
Set up appointment and had my truck. I’m of the beliefs if I didn’t messaged I could have been waiting a month for a vin.
But also he might of tried harder because I said I was paying cash. Anyway when you message on your app you are directly messaging someone at your pick up center so it also depends if you get someone who is fresh and in a good mood to try to help you.

Hi Jack, Thanx for the response.
But... I don't see where on the app I chat with sales folks. When I click on the message button it just shows the invite to configure, but also wants me to "start" registration details (which I have already done. I'm confused. Perhaps I just need to redo the reg details.

The 3 dots in the box top right. Click on that in there should be your invite to do your pre task stuff in that message you should be able to ask things I believe. Sorry it’s been a while for me maybe someone can chime in.

Yeah, I just found this as well. I'd seen that icon, and clicked on it - but hadn't realized I should then click on a message, and THEN there is a "Type a message" at the very bottom of the screen.

I got my VIN on the 9th. I'm picking up at Lynnwood, WA SC. Mine is suposed to get there in 10/22/24. Maybe yours and mine are on the same Truck...

Update: the delivery date has now been assigned. it slipped about a week. So, now my timeline is: VIN assigned on 10/9/24; reaches Lynnwood, WA SC on weekend of 10/26/24; Delivery date set for 10/29/24.

Yes. Ordered 10/11 and completed registration/financing on 10/12. Received my VIN 10/16. Stopped by a Tesla store over the weekend to inquire; non-commit delivery date is 11/1. Truck was still in Austin.
