Idk how long ago this guy was on the board, but there’s no way they deliver 200k trucks this year

Key word is sale though.

Maybe they take a bunch of us as configured orders and money made?

It’s possible I suppose if they start cranking out trucks next week. Maybe at the investor meeting there will be rows of Cybertrucks along the walls. They’ll open up the config page and customer deliveries will start in mid-April.

It’s also possible I find a winning lottery ticket on the way to dinner tonight and bump into a hot waitress looking for a … umm… nevermind.

Volume production now at 2024.
Basically another delay!
I’m 1400 on the list and not holding my breath to get one this year, but would love to.

I think good chance you’ll get the chance this year, but I won’t get mine until next year. (65k here)

I made a table a while back. We really don’t know what the run rate will be after the first year so it’s really hard to say. I think they are shooting for 500k/ year. If so you might be in year 3 or4 (2025-2026).

Really… it’s a giant crap shoot after the first 100k because it’s more about production rate than start date.

Oh… also, there is going to be some drop… you might end up 400k or so after people drop out.

Exactly 217,000.
You can take that to the bank. I cannot reveal any more at this time.
Giga Texas has a river of model Y's coming out right now. Ramp-up will be quicker than anyone realizes.

Volume production was always going to be six months or so after start of deliveries.

They'll try to start deliveries when they get to a thousand a week, but probably start before that. Because that's what they did with the Austin Y. It took them six months to get to 3K/week.

When was volume 2024?

First mention of that was this last update. So that’s a delay in my book and I’m not a short seller. Those saying this is not a delay are pushing the stock

just still waiting for my truck from my 2019 launch night order which I still don’t know much about.

How is this a delay from 'start production mid 2023'?
