Tesla Cybertruck How the RIVIAN R1T compares to the CYBERTRUCK? cbtvsr1t

The electric car market has exploded in the last few years as more and more companies see the potential in the industry.

Before we begin, let's get the glaring obvious out of the way. One of these vehicles is available to the public (albeit in limited quantities for now), and the other is not. However, if they were both available and you had to choose, that is the premise of this thread.

New competitors such as Rivian, Tesla, and Faraday Future are all vying for a piece of the pie.

Each company offers different types of vehicles with different specs, features, and benefits. Of course, everyone will have an opinion on this matter. What’s really going to matter is how these cars stack up against each other in side-by-side comparisons.

After comparing the Cybertruck with the Porche, F-150, and GMC Hummer EV, I'm gonna take a stab at comparing the Tesla Cybertruck vs. Rivian R1T.

Tesla has had a pretty good year. The company's Model Y sedan has been named the best-selling car in America and is on track to become the best-selling electric car ever.

It also won't be long before Tesla makes money off of its cars again—the firm lost $2 billion last quarter and is projected to lose millions more this year.

That's all well and good!

Things are about to get even better for Tesla: The company will soon launch its first all-electric pickup truck, called the "Tesla Cybertruck," that'll have a range capacity of 500 miles on a single charge, 0-60 in 2.9 seconds, and can tow up to 14,000 pounds. That means it can haul heavy loads at high speeds through any kind of terrain without breaking down or running out of juice mid-trip like most other vehicles do today.

Price: Tesla Cybertruck vs. Rivian R1T
Rivian's most basic model, at $67,500, is much more expensive than Tesla's previously listed $40,000 and $50,000 models. However, according to Musk, those prices are sure to increase.

Also, if you want additional features, the cost of the Rivian can quickly increase.

For example, the deluxe Adventure package of technology and design features, quad-motor all-wheel drive R1T, and Max pack's 400-mile range costs $95,000.

Design: Tesla Cybertruck vs. Rivian R1T
As we all know, the Tesla Cybertruck has a very unique design that will definitely turn some heads. Tesla is known for being different than other mainstream vehicles, and the Cybertruck is no exception. Even though the cargo area and bed are practical, I predict that the Tesla will probably be seen more in suburban areas than on job sites.

The Rivian R1T is a classic that has a lot of features that people expect from a pickup truck. One of the things that makes this truck different is the oval lighting elements. Makes me wish Tesla kept the long light bars on the front of the first version unveiled.

The R1T truck also has tow hooks and skid plates, which show that this truck is designed for people who want to use it for off-road activities.

0-60 mph: Tesla Cybertruck vs. Rivian R1T
Rivian's R1T can go from 0-60 mph in as little as 3.0 seconds,

As for the Tesla Cybertruck, the single-motor, ( rear-wheel-drive ) model will have a 0-60 mph sprint time of under 6.5 seconds, while the dual-motor will take this under 4.5 seconds.

The range-topping triple-motor vehicle will hit 60 mph in under 2.9 seconds. This is much faster than what is typically seen in the pickup truck world.

Towing capacity: Tesla Cybertruck vs. Rivian R1T
The Tesla cybertruck is rated for 7,500–10,000 pounds for the single motor and dual motor capacities, while the Rivian R1T is rated to handle 11,000 pounds of weight.

The tri-motor Cybertruck is once again claiming to be the best in terms of towing capacity, with 14,000 pounds of towing capacity.

However, we won't know for sure how well it performs until it is actually released in 2023. In the meantime, the R1T is already being delivered, and we are seeing real-world results of how heavy towing drains the batteries.

Finally, Should YOU Go for the Tesla Cybertruck OR the Rivian R1T?
Well, left to me, both trucks are SUPER great and effective. And for the prices, they’re both great trucks to go for.

The Tesla Cybertruck is a great choice, but it’s not for everyone. If you want something that’s simple, reliable, and safe, then the Rivian R1T might be a perfect choice. Thanks to its battery swap feature and 300 kW of power output, it can do everything from a cruise around town to tackle any job you throw at it.

If pricing wasn’t an issue, will you go for the Tesla Cybertruck or the Rivian R1T?

Why do your links for the Porche, F-150, and GMC Hummer EV, all link to a product sales page for the cyber backpack?

Also, why do you fail to mention the biggest difference between the R1T and CT? The former exists.

Applaud the effort, though it does seem you may as well “compare” the R1T to the new Dodge Ram EV truck.

There was an issue with the links. They have now been fixed. Thanks for pointing that out.

yes, much as a “F-16 vs Starship Enterprise” comparison

that said, makes more sense now that I realize this is from the folks who sell the cyber backpack generating clickbait towards their sales website

Hmm...perhaps I should next do a comparison between the F-22 vs SpaceX Starship. That would be an interesting one.

Rivian has a tiny bed..........looks like a Tacoma and company won't make it longer term. All that aside what I want is the CT.
