One time at parking lot of Walgreens 80 year old woman was waiting in front of the CT to ask the same questions when I show up to leave I give her the attention and I was so friendly.

Then She had the nervous to say!
“What an ugly car” and leave!
What kind of people is that?

Those ones, just tell her she's just jealous she's got some competition. Or if they're old haters, just ask them if they were also afraid of the train when it came out too.

50% would be perfect for the average person who just wants it dark.

35% (my recommendation as the limit) starts to look like it matches your side windows. Windshield is so angled, it usually reflects the sky anyways.

20% gets real, as they won’t be able to see you under almost any condition. Perfect for me as other drivers have no clue who they are gesturing or if they’re even making eye contact. Takes the wind out of most of their sails. It is considerably darker at night, though I also have it on my Viper so I’m used to it. However, passengers often ask if I even have the headlights on?

Thanks. That is what I want, but not sure it is safe for me. in PA, legal limit is 70%, but my wife has a medical exemption. Not sure if there is 60 or 55. Just slightly more private than 70%

I am normally used to people curious around the CT everyday, poking inside (as sentry shows), comment a word or two as I exit / enter the car. That’s fine. And I feel happy to share too.

Today, we parked at a national historical site in southwest WA. One of the children was fuzzy and throwing a tantrum, siting on my wife’s legs on front passenger side crying. I wasn’t in good mood too, as we wasted a beautiful sunny Saturday morning doing nothing.
Two senior ladies walked by, knocked my driver side window. I didn’t want to, but to be polite, I lowered window.
Them: “what is this? Is it a car?
Me: “err……no, it is not a car.” (I was gonna say “it is a spaceship, we just landed on earth.” but not really in such a mood)
Them: “what is it?”
Me: “……it is a car.”
Them: “so it is a car. What name is this car?”
Me: “……Cybertruck”
Them: “what?”
Me: “Cybertruck”
Them: “can you spell it for me?”
Me: “err….”
My wife then stepped in and said we have to leave and the kid is grumpy.
They apologized and left.
We drove away soon.

I am happy to share my passion on CT with anyone who is curious. But it is also weird to me, like, if you walk by a cool house and go ahead knock the door, interrupt whatever the resident is doing and ask what the name of the house is.

How do you all take on this?

Awww come on. I always give a pass to old folks and kids. Both of them light up my day on how interested they are. It’s Subaru owners between 22 and 38 that I have a problem with.

I had an early Model X and my other vehicle (which I haven't driven since I got the CT) is a BMW i8. People are going to ask questions about unique looking vehicles and I'm happy to entertain their questions if I have time. If I don't have time, I usually just explain that "normally I'd be happy to talk all day about it, but I really have to get to whatever". Early adopters are effectively drafted as brand ambassadors and you can either leave a positive impression with the curious or a negative one. Obviously, you don't owe anyone anything, but I'm happy to give a curious and polite inquirer a tour.

I’ve given dozens of views, photo ops, test rides, spiels, tours, etc. But there are time when it’s not practical. That doesn’t make it douchey, it’s reality.
