I’ve been in some rain here in Florida, and it seems to do great in the rain, maybe a few drips along the outer edge at of the tailgate. Also been through a car wash a few times and also seems to do OK there, the water pressure def pushes the water past the tailgate seal so there is some water intrusion in that area but nothing makes it pad the immediate area. I plan to put all our suitcases in the far back of the bed and I have zero concerns

From what I've seen, read, and experienced this varies greatly from CT to CT. some say theirs is virtually watertight and others that their leaks like a sieve. Guy above me says far back is 100% safe but up front might get some water. Mine is the opposite lol. I know at least one person posted on here about doing some additional diy sealing with some adhesive gap filling product. I'm hoping for a good video on ways to do that, products to use, etc 🙂

It's still a truck bed, so only put what may get a little wet/dirty in there. It's not dirt or water proof at all. But it is very good.

In my truck, I would leave my duffle with clothes in the vault during a rain storm, but not if I plan to ford a river. Stuff mounted high, like on the molle panels, does very well. I may mount an inexpensive faceless transceiver on the passenger side molle panel in the vault to decrease my power run from the 48v, I think it'll be just fine if I keep the cover closed during rain.

It should stay relatively dry but it is not waterproof. Don't keep things inside that can't get wet or moist.

Many folks are coming from SUVs and are making the mistake of thinking the vault is the equivalent of the back of an SUV, and it is not.
