Three (3) of the Husky brand pro-duty containers will fit accross the bed nicely. Sits below the L-track and can be opened with one of the hinge sides active. Not as large as the Tesla Valut Cargo Bins but a bargin by comparison.

I love these, not only more cost effective, but better! Waterproof and you can stand on them to use as step to the bed. They also go 2 wide if you don’t need 3.

I used 1 set of our heavy duty Ltrack bed crossbars and then used a section of 3/4” plywood as a base, old kids crib mattress that wife was tossing and made a $350 shelf that all bins can slide under. Also perfect sleeping arrangement for my 9yr old son when we go camping.

Pics of camping last week with it and browsing CTOC forum, lol you can see the bins in the bed for comparison

Yeah, I was looking for the olive green one or black but all they had at my local Homedepot was stacks of red bins.

Thank you for posting this! I’ve been planning to do some research to find good waterproof bins that were more affordable and that fit well.

What are you doing to stop them from sliding all over the place?

I love the Husky's in the back of my CT. I store my hunting clothes in them during season and they are waterproof so if the tonneau isn't 100% sealed, it doesn't really matter. I bought some at Home Depot for less than $35 and they have held up extremely well. They are stackable, so they don't take up too much space when you aren't using them. The only drawback: if you put the containers in the back seat, be careful with the latches/lids, the areas around the lids stick out a bit and can scrape the seats as you put them in or remove the lid while the container is in the seat.

This is wishful thinking but do the grooves on the bottom of the Husky containers match the grooves on the CT bed?
Nope, the molded bottom features don't match the bed grooves 3 across or 2 across.

How much weight can the L-Track cross bars hold? Seems like a great alternative bed platform. Only if there was a camper shell to keep out the bugs and mosquitos.
