I see so much hate for the CyberTruck on the internet, thought I'd do a simple poll.

Are you satisfied with you Cybertruck purchase?

There seems to be an endless stream of Cybertruck haters on the internet, including publications like Jalopnik and others. Even on this forum there seems to be a lot of dissatisfaction. So I thought I would do a simple poll.

It is shocking how many people (who have no direct experience with Tesla or the Cybertruck) are convinced that it is a piece a junk. It's all based on FUD and politics. None of these people are looking at the truck objectively, comparing it to other options on the road.

Very frustrating.

I look forward to seeing the results of this poll. So far the word from CT owners seems overwhelmingly positive.

Most of it is jealously or ignorance, but jealous people tend to hate on things they are jealous of, from 4 year old bullies to adult journalists.

The May/June issue of Car and Driver published a multipage review of the Cybertruck Beast which was very favorable to this entry into the EV market. Perhaps some of the detractors who have no realistic and objective opinion of the truck will be influenced by this credible source ( if they ever subscribe and read automobile reviews)

Mine is going on two weeks in the shop with a unknown vibration. They rebalanced the tires before my roadtrip. It didn’t help. A motor is suspect now. This is my 5th Tesla and so far the one with the most time in the shop. This is an everyday driver. Road-tripped 2,100 miles last month. I’ll likely buy another one next year and get rid of this one (if it isn’t lemoned first)

"On the internet": 🖕🤓🖕🤩🖕🤩🖕🤓🖕

IRL: 🤘😮🤩🤩😍😚🥳🤯🖕🤓😲

In the real world most people don't give a damn about the politics around it and are mostly just fascinated by it. There is always that one guy, but 99 out of 100 people are excited to see it. It's the craziest thing ever seeing people react to it.

It's the most political people who have strong feelings against it.

Also.... if you are getting a lot of hate for the Cybertruck. Maybe you are hanging out on the wrong parts of the Internet.

I noticed the same thing. I thing they are pretty much paid trolls or they want the clicks. I have a good friend who has a very popular YT on gun reviews and he was saying he gets great $$ offers to either trash talk or give a great review. I know my CT is the most fun vehicle i have ever had. Its a space ship

The thousands of hate posts and articles that actually quote/reference anything all point to the same dozen of very loud, dissatisfied CT customers. The exact same thing happened when the m3 challenged the status quo for an affordable commuter car, now no one clicks m3 bait articles because it's clearly a very successful vehicle.

Claim:
"The car accelerated all by itself!"

Truth:
https://www.tesla.com/fr_fr/blog/no-unintended-acceleration-tesla-vehicles
https://techcrunch.com/2021/01/08/nhtsa-tesla-sudden-unintended-acceleration-driver-error/
These are EV first time buyers that think they can get away with blaming a company they know people love to hate.

Claim:
"Good cars can't be electric!"

Truth:
Only people who don't regularly drive a Tesla still believe this, and that's not a small number of people. But I hear a variation on it a lot, and over and over for each section of the market EVs touch. The truck market is just the fad for petrol investors to whine about 🍷

Claim:
"FSD is dangerous, so all Tesla's are dangerous!"

Truth:
This is pushed HARD by a few very powerful people specifically at Tesla/Musk with some axe to grind, but fortunately the momentum doesn't seem to be keeping up and nhtsa knows it. If you've been watching since 2018, their tune sure has flipped and that's all thanks to Tesla and the undeniable math.

Claim:
"How dare Elon Musk have a political opinion!"

Truth:
Whether you agree or disagree with anything Elon say--it's irrelevant. He has the right to participate the US political system just as much as anyone else. I'm an American, and that means I regard the freedom of speech to be self evident and inalienable for all humans, American or not! Folks that claim Tesla vehicles are bad based on Musk-isms are part of a larger polarizing disease/movement in the USA. I was taught by my parents, and teach my kids, that politically disagreeing with someone isn't grounds for hate, shunning, or judgement, but that it's what gives America it's strength. Hearing people harp about it is fine and I'm always open to new ideas and opinions, but passing judgement on a person based on political leanings tells me everything I need to know about the maturity of that person. That goes for anyone, be it Orthodox Christians not allowing a liberal into their home (yes, I've seen it, very Christ-like.....), a man teaching my daughter that even mild conservatism will destroy the world (fortunately she's very emotionally mature and can judge for herself), or anyone that "hates" a billionaire that genuinely spends all his time and effort to improve humanity--it's completely unrelated to my stainless steel triangle.
Sorry, didn't mean to rant....

Ad nauseam.
This is a worthy rant

internet is the place for cowards, where they believe nobody will see their mugshots and feel safe to display their stupidity. But constant negativity is too bad for ones mental health.
Just ignore and chill!

OMG, is this high school revival? I’ve never had Facebook, Instagram, Twit accounts. You’re ruining my only social media, CT Forum. Now I feel like deleting it too.
