ID Verification for Foundation Cybertruck

In the Cybertruck Foundation order process you supply a photo of both sides of your Drivers License. Then the Tesla App takes your photo and compares it to the photo on the Drivers License to verify you are who you say you are. As posted elsewhere Tesla is saying 1st Quarter delivery, in this case in Florida.

While waiting for my invite to configure email for any of my reservations for the CT, I picked up a new MX Plaid bc Tesla offered to transfer my forever free SC from my 2014 MS (with 227,000 miles!) to it, if I purchased it before 12/31/23. I am very happy with it, but still want my CTs!
If offered a Foundation edition, I would take it, but will be happy for any version. Of course, the Beast is my preferred version and if this happens, I can die happy.

Found this kind of disturbing, I know the biometric waiver was there. I guess this would prevent anyone other than the person in the picture from picking car up. Reducing transfer and scalping risk.

Yet now Tesla has a 3D image of me and the wife somewhere hidden in the dojo mystery files. I guess they have it anyway on the internal car cameras...

The image verification process required moving your head slightly to the left and then the right, so a photo will not do the replacement trick! The original image base was the Drivers License photo.
