Im going to call it.. The CT and the Roadster will be at the LA Auto Show in November. This is probably where we can see the final CT prior to production.

Has Tesla ever unveiled anything big/ significant at someone else’s event?

I suspect Tesla will go the Apple route and will reserve big reveals for their own special events where they can control the narrative better and don’t have to share the spotlight.

That is what they’ve done thus far and likely what they will continue to do.

I saw this on Twitter so your thinking isn’t exactly unique, but it’s not exactly the way Tesla does things.

Maybe not the auto show, but the Anniversary of the Original Announcement would make some sense. Nov 19. As Ogre suggest a separate Tesla event.

I was told previously that the reason auto shows don’t have Teslas there is because Tesla is not a car company it’s more of a software / computer company.

Tesla generally doesn't do auto shows unless they're recruiting or teaching, yes. Shows are expensive advertising anymore. But they can be useful sometimes to provide a space to educate or collect resumes and interviews.

They always want the best, fresh minds.
