Thanks, that is helpful!Picked up our Beast last Saturday in Aurora Colorado. held the last $15k payment till we were able to inspect the truck.
We told every Tesla person we talked to this was our plan.
- On pick up day, we were told there was nobody available to walk us through the vehicle as we requested since this is our first EV. We said we were holding payment till we had help and instantly someone appeared.
- On inspection we found lots of scratches in the metal. We were again told that’s normal. We said we were going to refuse delivery and the scratches were quickly taken care of.
- We found a tiny dark spot in the metal and were told “that’s just the alloy”. We again said we were refusing delivery and quickly got an apology and $350 service credit.
It’s an expensive truck. We held them to our standards and got what we wanted.
We would have been ignored if we had paid up front.
Just my 0.02.
