It was a busy weekend, but I have completed my new CTX bumper install! T-Sportline and their engineers did an amazing job with the design, it looks great and internally integrates the winch beautifully. There were a ton of small details that made the install go very smooth (I'm in manufacturing, so know firsthand the work and thought that had to have gone into this design).

There was some knuckle busting, but I know spaces were kept tight on purpose to help keep the design as slim as possible. I owe a special thanks to Adir at T-Sportline, whose help on my order and getting me all the accessories that I would need to complete it, he was phenomenal!

I ended up installing a Warn Zeon 14-S (not on their list, but I just had to make a small modification to the winch controller mount plate to accommodate it). I went with the Morimoto HXB 4 Bangers for the lower bumper fog lights. Then took a totally different approach on the top bumper mounted lights. I converted a pair of KC Titan Gravity's, into a 3-pod light bar and made a custom mount for it.

Overall, very happy with the final look. Next, I'm looking at possibly making a small bull bar to go around the KC's, using the provided factory mount locations on the CTX bumper.

How close does the frunk come to the lights when opening?
It's pretty close, about 1/4" inch at its closest point. I drew the four T-Sport bumper's top light mounting holes (0.5" diameter by 4.125" center), the frunk opening arc, the KC lights, and then the proposed light bracket, all in 3D. This allowed me to refine the bracket until I got it as close as I was comfortable. That's actually the first article; it worked perfect from the SolidWorks 3D model. See video, it's kind of hard to see though.

So this is your own custom layout using aftermarket parts?
Bravo!!

Sometime ago, there was discussions about issues on mounting bull guard.

In this case, where is the winch attched to mount it?

Bad ass looks though!

The winch is actually mounted to a very robust (and completely hidden when the bumper itself is on) subframe/bracket that ties directly into the two main supports that the factory tow hooks also attach to (it traverses both tow hook points and allows the winch to fit between them, while it transfers its working load to both of them). It literally bolts to, and transfers the winch loads directly to the same points as the factory intended the tow hooks to pull from, while actually leaving the factory tow hooks in place. It’s a pretty clever. Theoretically, the winch could actually be used without the bumper even installed. The bumper then attaches to this same hidden winch bracket (it’s got two large mounting tabs, one on each end of the winch bracket), using 3 large bolts on each side. The bull bar is intended to attach just to the bumper shell itself. You wouldn’t use it as an actual push bar, but it should be plenty good for larger brush protection (and even more importantly, it would be nice looking 😆). I think it’s what most manufactures are actually doing. The bumper shell itself is very strong carbon steel, and by using their multiple triangulated anchoring points for the bar anchoring, it’s going to be very strong. I think they really did a great job, for a literal bolt on solution.

I just started this project yesterday. I got no instructions and have the UTube videos playing in a loop in the shop. Any suggestions you might have? Removing the stock bumper was a pain. WOW are there a lot of little bits and clips hard to get to.
wanted to give a shout out to Tesla. What an amazing truck. They really did a great job of designing this truck.

I used all the videos and bounced back and forth between them as I progressed (factory bumper uninstall, winch install, bumper install, light install, high power battery install). It’s all covered, just take it slow, it takes a bit. I watched all the videos before hand, so got a good sense of when I needed to stop and change focus/videos. I also unpacked and laid all the parts out before hand, that was helpful. I was lucky, and could use a lift, so I actually took my passenger front wheel off to give me more access for the factory disconnects needed (inner liner, camera, washer, etc), it was also helpful in the reassembly portion. With the lift, I could also raise and lower the truck as needed to make it easier on my old back. I put my iPad in the shop and would pause, rewind, pause, rewind, constantly. The U brackets (the two bolts welded to a flat plate ) were a little tricky to install for me, as my fat old fingers couldn’t master how he put them through the frame hole, then wiggled them up and out through the two bolt holes, so easily. It was a struggle until I remembered that I had a telescopic stick with a real small magnet on it from harbor freight, I put that in the bolt hole and was able to pull the u bracket through on first try. Definitely recommend that if you have one. I also used a small harbor freight mirror to help locate the upper main bumper bolts too, they were a bear, as nearly impossible to see. If you leave the others bolts super loose and wiggle the bumper and bolt plate, you’ll eventually get it. I also used my cherry picker (motor hoist) to place the bumper by myself. I suspended it from it with a couple of axle straps (also harbor freight 😂). Using it just allowed me to easily positioned it and lower into place, it worked perfect (the straps came out easily, but also allowed the bumper to maintain a flat orientation). I also installed the fog lights and the camera/washer accessories while hanging from this.

I was okay with the install being so tight in a few places, as the bumper looks way better for it.
