First I would tell them to add "The Grappler" to the front end of the CT... They REALLY NEED more 'grapplers' in Los Angeles area (if you haven't seen it, search for it, it's amazing!).

Second, I think the CT would be the PERFECT police vehicle!! Already bullet proof (unlike regular cars), harder for idiots that get arrested to break the windows with their heads (would LOVE to see some idiot TRYING though!), LOTS of room to add a 'cage' and all the necessary accessories that police units use, heavy enough to take out most other vehicles with little damage (or, get the grappler also!), can go off road, through water, etc...

They would just have to adapt to 48volt systems (which is superior!) for things like lights, sirens, etc...

Other than the cost, I don't see any real 'downside' to it.

Lame. Concepts are fun, but seeing this rolling around turns my CT into a Ford Explorer. Hopefully this truck will wind up going to auction like all the Teslas LAPD sold for pennies.

was not aware LAPD purchased any Teslas. I read a story that said they chose to go with a fleet of BMW electric vehicles instead of Tesla. Are you sure these weren’t just seized Teslas up for auction?
