My jammers are for radar, not radio
Radar is a form of radio. The term "RADAR" is literally an acronym for "radio detection and ranging".

Jamming of radio signals is a Federal crime everywhere in the United States, punishable by a $50,000 fine.

"Federal law prohibits the operation, marketing, or sale of any type of jamming equipment that interferes with authorized radio communications, including cellular and Personal Communication Services (PCS), police radar, and Global Positioning Systems (GPS)."

Radar detectors will trigger off of lots of industrial electronics, tho. Not to mention the speed trackers and cameras that aren't used for enforcement. Lots of false hits.

Agree. Most of the time, it happens where I know it is a false hit, like in a parking lot and/or in front of a big store.
I'd rather be safe than sorrow.

Ok, tell car manufacturers to make cars that only go the speed limit.

Just because it is a free forum, you should not provoque/confront people that you dont know.

Honestly though its not speed that kills, it's just the darn rapid deceleration when you hit something! ?

I got stung for speeding on a German autobahn going down a hill with a variable electronic speed sign. Cost me a meagre 20 bucks! And they made me give it back too! (The sign that is) :ROFLMAO:

But seriously I'm sure everyone can agree there is legitimate revenue raising and safety risk.

Driving into the sunset this evening a motorbike passed our truck, and I said to my son who I'm teaching how to drive it, "gosh I'm glad I'm not on one of those", as emus and kangaroos criss-crossed the road in front of us. He'd be better off sitting behind our 200kg bullbar to get home...

Silly people risk their lives for all manner of reasons, just don't risk anybody else's too by what you do, or don't do. Faulty cars and roads, drink driving etc are all much more serious than going over a bit when no-one else is around.

If you want to be "safe" observe the speed limits.
I try to observe all the speed limit signs as I drive by. The radar speed check signs with the readout of how fast your are going used to be the most fun cause you could try to best your max score. Lately though those seem to have been updated to just flash "Slow Down" at some point.

Yeah, they did that to all of the ones on 17, which is actually... bad? You need to know how much over to choose how much and what type deceleration.

I've found a few that flash when you're going the speed limit which is super-annoying. Worse than the ones that are just straight up wrong.

The police-lights ones are straight up dangerous, as they teach drivers to ignore the lights.

I set auto pilot to flow of traffic and no need for radar detector. If you “drive” your Tesla often then you are doing it all wrong.

Yes... I really want my CT with FSD. It allows me to have a chauffeur most of the time so I can avoid most tickets. But then, when I want to have fun driving, I can take over and have all the fun I want.
