I’ve been waiting for my Cybertruck since Dec 19,2019. I’m so ready for it! I was diagnosed with cancer last year and I’m really not sure that I’ll even get the opportunity to sit in one. I’m wondering if I can transfer it to my son if something happens. I’d like to update my will. I’m not giving up. I’m in California and check my email daily!!!

I think so, you can give your son access to your email or transfer the account to your son’s email, and/or register the car in his name. I hope that you can enjoy riding in CT and recover from your cancer.

If you're not selling your place in line and have no Tesla on your account, it should transfer. Nothing to lose by trying.

Praying for you Patricia.
I have a sorta similar question. I might be getting divorced in the near future (hoping this isn't the case) and have been advised to transfer my reservation to my mom to protect it being taken from me. Would this be possible/legal?

You should talk to Tesla. Maybe they will speed things up for you. We are just a peanut gallery (where did that phrase come from anyway?).

It would depend on the laws in your state. In California there is community property law and, barring other issues that would affect the dissolution of assets, things would be split 50-50 and you or your attorneys would decide how to do the split.

Possible, but unlikely that Tesla will accomodate.
The real issue you are going to run into is her lawyer is going to find out about the CT if he does not know already, and trying to hide it with your mom will get you in even more trouble with the judge who will likely go harder on asset splits assuming there are other things you are hiding.
Best to just leave it as-is and pay her for half.

BUT the good news is used trucks are now selling for less than new ones, so she won't be able to claim it is worth $150k

thanks so much for the note. I do t think Tesla really gives a damn. I’m still hoping to have the opportunity to purchase it.
