Is Tesla battery cost $149 kWh at the cell level?

I thought cell level price was already at or below $100. No way GM is that close to Tesla in cell price

So there is a point that people are not taking into consideration. Batteries produced by Tesla would be priced at production cost but batteries from LGChem, Panasonic, etc would be priced at contracted wholesale cost which includes margins for those companies.

Tesla uses third party companies to make batteries so that they can get greater volume. But when they are discussing battery prices for new processes they have developed internally, the price discussed is an internal cost with no margin.

Your choice as to whether this is believable.
I see Tesla isn't shy about jockeying its prices up and down depending on demand. Really wondering if my dual motor CT will be 49K or end up 59K.
