Not sure if someone else is doing this or not, but I'm going to keep a thread for my own issues that I've had with this truck so far with less than 4 days of ownership on record (5/5/24 pickup)

  1. Tonneau cover issue (semi-resolved): My tonneau would stop about 1-2 inches from the end then bounce back to about 5inches. It eventually just stopped working... @CyberGus was kind enough to have a solution for the stuck portion HERE. As for the cause of it, I have an appointment June 5th to dig deeper. Also with this, there is a bulging of the trim around the tonneau area (by the button) so curious if that's a factor or not.
  2. Camera Failure (resolved): One of my cameras was failing to calibrate due to some issue, took that in on 5/9/25 and got it fixed within 2 hours. You have to go into service for that one.
  3. Window Trim Bulging (unresolved): The trim above my right side rear window is bulging down about an inch over a 3-4 inch area. I tried to just push it back into place but it won't budge, so letting Tesla hopefully deal with it on June 5th as well
  4. Window Rattle (unresolved): Driver side window (when down) rattles pretty bad while driving. Can't source the issue, will hopefully be looked at June 5th.
  5. Suspension Failure (Potentially Self resolved, will wait and see): Was sitting in a parking spot at my business, went to leave and got "Air suspension unable to raise" error code while driving down the road. Some other threads are saying just let it be for a bit and this might go away, but I'm not that hopeful with my current state of the truck and have also added that to my June 5th list of things to fix...
I've been liking this truck a lot, but having item after items fail/break after paying $110k for this truck (after 4.5 years of waiting) is getting kind of annoying.... If they break this soon into ownership just driving down a road I feel I'm going to have to baby this more than my Model S to survive a few years of ownership.

Side note: whomever in Frisco is telling people they paid $250k for this truck, you're wild :ROFLMAO:

I have a couple minor things like rear drivers fender flair does not seat all the way and is not flush (I tried with no luck) and frunk seals on both sides stick out when closed. I had an unable to charge error that went away after 2024.14.3 update but will have that looked at anyway while there. Scheduled for the Fort Worth SC as its a bit closer to me.

Unfortunately, being my 3rd Tesla I fully expected QC issues. My 2022 Model S was missing an entire door panel at delivery. But losing basic functionalities that effect daily usage was not on my 2024 Bingo Card :D

The charging error sounds horrible though...glad it went away and hopefully they can fix everything else!

Oh yeah, my 3rd as well. My 1st 2018 Performance 3 had a few minor issues (rear spoiler not fitting right, rear light assembly fitment) along with the dreaded 12v battery issue. My second 2022 Performance 3 was pretty solid other than a couple interior cosmetic things, for the 8000 miles I had it.

Suspension issue:
  1. Tried to let the truck sit for 30+ mins, didn't fix it
  2. Tried to do a power cycle, didn't fix it
There was an update pushed so going to try that and see if for some weird reason that fixes it (Lawl)

I have this bulge as well. The trim is held in by clips, and there's none in this area. I'm mildly annoyed by the wavy line on my big triangular truck, but it doesn't seem to be a functional problem.

Good to know, hopefully they can figure it out. I'm just upset my suspension is now useless for the next month. And they won't let me know if it's safe to drive or not 🙃

Glad you got #1&2 fixed. 3&4 sound like the same issue, just in opposite directions. Probably going to have to replace the sealant.

#5 sounds like a mechanical issue. As we get into more trucks on the road, the more unique issues are going to show up (and then show themselves not unique as we get a new crop of unique issues).

I hope things get fixed for you! I want to see these trucks on the roads ^-^

PS: I still haven't seen one in the wild yet. Isn't that weird?

#1 isn't fixed per say, only #2
#3/4 is just being picky.
#5 sucks.

The issue is, they've had 4.5 years to test this stuff, there is 0 excuse for having errors this extreme with less than 250 miles on core functionality items. Would be like apple releasing a phone and the touch screen functionality goes out 😅 imho.

in service mode on the model x you can do a compression test. Idk if the CT would be able to do that, but could be worth a check

Indeed, Service Mode shows the pressures for the tank and shocks. You can even adjust them and set the height. Might be worth a look?

I forgot what the exact setting was (did this before my meeting) but this is the error that is provided.

I did a power cycle twice already to see if it helped.
