Time stamped discussion of CT. Not sounding optimistic on the pricing.

Agreed. Sounds like they need to know demand a little better to determine cost. I bet they could stick to original pricing if demand is high. I still think they'll keep it under $80k IRA limit. I don't see them producing 250-500k/year if you price it higherSounded to me like he was referring to the production cost efficiency.
Might be in denial though
I mean, I'm all in. But if I'm priced out I'm priced out.MSRP's and trim levels are the biggest elephants in the room.
Reservation holders like myself need to have a Plan B just in case. I currently have three.
Tesla might price the CT in the stratosphere to help recoup nearly 4-years of constant development costs.
All production vehicles have "nearly 4-years of constant development costs"MSRP's and trim levels are the biggest elephants in the room.

Well... I guess I going to have to pop some tags then...When King Elon states that the CT will be difficult to make affordable that's a bad omen. Get ready for sticker shock later this year.
My gut feeling is that Elon couldn't stop adding the latest and greatest technology into the upcoming Cybertruck. More gadgets and gizmos equal higher MSRP's.
I agree that it needs to be the affordable, rugged, do-everything truck. It will not do well if it gets positioned at a Hummer-like price. The key to disrupt the market with the CT is the price.
Also, only tesla fan would want an oddly looking tesla truck, but if the price is lower than any other pickup everybody that need a pick up will buy it!
