I think both the roomers and Crissa are right. You can not sell a vehile until the regulatory agencies approve, but what do you guys think all of this testing has been for? im sure EPA's already been given range numbers, and we're just waiting for the multiple crash tests to come in now. Plenty of evidence that this is happening.
Obviously, no delivers have been made yet. But I would assume employee interest solicitation would take place around the same time as these regulatory tests, so that both efforts conclude around the same time.
Not sure where you see the cruelty, its not like the employees get first dibs because Tesla likes them more than us... Its simply because employees have better access to the company and are less likely to complain to the press WHEN things go wrong. First couple batches of anything never come out right, let alone a brand new type of vehicle. So the eager employees are being used as guinea pigs, for the benefit of us all.
