Ive decided to give Cybertruck another shot… VIN assigned almost immediately

Edit: i made a mistake, my vin is 51xxx not 82
So after my experience with the FS AWD I had delivered in July (See my previous threads) i have decided to give the CT another try.
The short version is the specimen i got (VIN 20,xxxx) had multiple major hardware and cosmetic issues and spent over 30 days in service, after which i asked Tesla for a buy-back, and they agreed.

Even after what i experienced with the first one, I still could not think of another NEW vehicle that i would want to buy. I see so many posts from people who have issues but so many more of people who have had no issues, so i figured maybe just maybe, i just happened to get a DUD.

When Tesla dropped the price by effectively $22,000, added 3 months of free FSD and super charging, the thought of trying again became that much more palatable.

I placed my order for a base AWD at 6:26 PM and they assigned me a VIN at 6:41 PM (,xxx). I doubt this means anything besides that the delivery center (Dedham, MA) has a truck either there or en route that matches my order.

I am super anxious because i know if i get there and the truck is not absolutely perfect, i am going to reject delivery because of what I’ve been through but i am hopeful that this time, it works out.

why are there so many more rivians and lightnings than CTs around me? maybe even more ev hummers than CTs

Rivians have been in production longer. Demographics plays a big role. A lot of CT’s in cities… northeast and cali have a whole lot.

I would give the Cybertruck a second chance as well.

I would insist on a fresh factory build from Austin. You may run the chance of getting a rejected CT from another buyer.

Inspect it with a fine tooth comb and be prepared to reject the vehicle if necessary.

I picked up my foundation last week in Canada and it was in limp mode, the pcs was disabled with no power steering for the back tires and then turtle sign came on. I returned the cybertruck and am getting another one this weekend (both vins were in the 47000-49000)
