Just canceled my founders edition order, hopefully somebody here on the forum from San Diego. Will get an invite soon.

Just went in and canceled my founders edition order for an all-wheel-drive, wanted to cancel before they assigned a vin, and then the $2000 delivery fee starts to come into question. I just couldn’t keep it and pay that extra 20 grand, especially when it included the full self driving, which I just paid $200 on my model Y to try out this month, and I absolutely can’t stand it. so I really just couldn’t pay $12,000 to get that on the cyber truck and just be miserable. I really love what Tesla is doing with the technology in the cyber truck, I just don’t need to be the first person to have one And I think I’ll wait until the technology gets a little bit better with the batteries and then get some more range, and then the price comes down. I’m still suffering from paying $70,000 for this model Y performance before all the price drops. I’ll just wait a couple years and see where the cyber truck pricing is then.

It is a little confusing you saying that FSD is $12,000 when for everyone in the first month or so of reservations were locked at $7,000. Anyway, the feelings are understandable.

Seems like a good move. Overpaying on two Tesla products like that is too much for one lifetime. The CT will have significant price drops in the future…and my sense is that Ford and Rivian are beneficiaries of Tesla’s pricing bungle

I’m only assuming they are thinking $12k when they are charging you $20k extra for the founder’s edition. Good luck getting them to honor that $7k

FSD of this month isn't necessarily FSD of last year and definitely won't be FSD of next year.

Different versions, different mapping, different stored values, different safety priorities... This changes from month to month, even within a version.

How is it a pricing bungle if they are selling every single one they make and still have a reservation list? When production ramps up, the prices will drop.

Just to be clear, no one on here has seen anything yet that Tesla is actually going to honor (or not honor) the 7K FSD pricing, correct? My feeling/suspicion is that they will not.

There has been a TON of discussion on here about FSD pricing. I believe I've seen sufficient documentation to believe Tesla not only WILL honor it, they MUST honor it. It is a VERY different situation from the vehicle pricing.

That would be a first then, and as @Crissa has pointed out several times, probably not legal. but I am not worried because Tesla has always said that the FSD price is locked in when you make the order (unless you change the order). I am guessing that you are assuming that we haven’t actually put in an order.
