Mid to high 70s, original planned tri-motor 500 mile range price was $69.9k. I am expecting this configuration would be $79k now to be eligible for tax credit. But I guess the range won't hit 500 miles.

If it is dual motor 300 mile config, then the price is much higher than original $50k price.
Tesla seems to had a major change of heart regarding long distance ranges since 2019. It seems like the mileage race was big then Tesla became the best selling vehicles without that crazy range and they said why pull around all that extra weight if most dont need the range. We shall see, but that 500 mi range is a lot of battery. So i concur that 500 miles is likely not going to happen. I think 400 is even going to be a stretch. And they will sell 5 million of them even with a sub 400 mi range and maintain high demand. The folks looking to tow like myself will be disappointed but we will get over it. 200 miles of towing is a reasonable distance between charges.

Tesla please bring them to south Florida! I can’t wait to see these in person. You have every income bracket imaginable down here between Palm Beach to Miami.

100% this ^^^ A $79k price for a tri/quad motor with over 400 miles of range = IMO a very compelling proposition. Over 450 is awesome. ~350 is meh.

well if we do the math, even 4 weeks out. thats 28 more days. lets say 40 of the vehicles so far are going for this delivery purpose. Thats another 280 vehicles at 10 per day. so 320 total. Divide by 5 and thats 64 SCs. Really that probably only covers 8 key states. ...
Why deliver to every SC in 8 states if they could do 1-2 SCs in every state?

One error is the assumption that the "mid to high" 70s is estimated to be 79k. I assume 75k. That said, I believe a dual motor has a shot of being 55 to 59k.

If the goal, as most advertising is, is to get in front of as many people in your highest density target demographics, it would be not the most effective to send one or two to SCs in every state.

I have conflicting thoughts and feelings about it, if it's true. Great from an advertising point of view, being at all those SC's. But on the other hand, why would they need to do that? Over 2 million pre-orders, do they need to do that? Are they worried about conversion rate? If it's under 50%, that's still 1 million. Probably 3 years worth. I just don't see the point of creating more hype.
Because they’re a business and more hype means more revenue! Which is good for everyone who purchased one.

Divide by 5 and thats 64 SCs. Really that probably only covers 8 key states. And we have seen them on trucks in a handful of states already. CA has just under half of the EV sales nationally and I wouldn't be surprised if 20 of those SCs were in CA alone. Obviously Texas, New York, Florida, New Jersey, Washington. Makes sense to sell first where there is high demand.

I remember him from when I had Twitter. I don't think I'd dismiss it off hand but I haven't been contacted to take delivery so I call BS lol.
