That's not how probable cause works. In Colorado, (idk about other places) window tint is a secondary offense and you don't get pulled over for window tint. If you get pulled over for speeding and they decide to check your tint then you'd get in trouble. But in my experience cops don't care about your tint darkness unless its WAAAAY obviously too dark.it’s illegal in many states, including California. If you put the dark tint on the front windows then you are gifting probable cause to the police and can be pulled over by them at any time on a whim if they are bored or want to hand out one more ticket. agree that it looks better, but I prefer not to give the police a reason to pull me over all the time everywhere I go.
When I was in law enforcement (albeit military security forces and not civilian). We would only check window tint if we honestly believed that you were a safety risk.
It's officer dependent I guess. And maybe I've just been lucky. But. I've never had an issue
Also, side note, states usually have a limit. Maybe 27% or something? Which I think is darker than the CT in the pics
