the original lighting included the wrap around signature light I consider a DRL although, shown here with amber clearance lights over the windshield (required due to width) and front quarter panel amber parking lights that you would not expect to see with a DRL - hence we assume the wrap around light is the headlight and not a DRL.
And red rear reflectors discretely beneath the vault gate and above the bumper.
then we see the truck in motion on Leno, with the windshield light installed but off, the wrap around light is on but the center section is off as are the parking lights so here the wrap around light could be a DRL except the fog lights are on and that would require at least parking lights on.
Are you confused yet?
Ah!!! Giga Texas construction truck - windshield light-lovers are still happy.
the love affair ends - BAW is born and we get a new windshield absent the off road light. The 3 amber clearance lights move below the frunk and a 1970’s quad headlight array is introduced. The wrap around light, if a DRL is off as would be expected when headlights are on.
Driving around inside Giga Texas we find everything in contradiction as no parking lights are evident with all the headlights and assumed DRLs on. Still no off road windshield light present and no triple clearance lights present with all headlights on. The wrap around DRL light seems much brighter.
still images from a recent video show small tail lights as if the headlights are on. Absent are any rear facing reflectors which I thought were required by law. While we have seen back up lights, they are very discrete in these images (read: non existent). But… there is no license plate so we dont know how street legal this version is or is it just a practice prototype?
in that same video, additional lights coming on as the truck approaches an intersection, logically look like brake lights but the center 3rd brake light does illuminate - could they be programmed on during deceleration due to regeneration?
Side views of this vehicle are missing quarter panel parking lights and these were also missing from inside Giga Texas videos.
then there is the rectangle grill light, wrap around DRL OFF photo. What is this other than a disappointment?

Are the recent trucks with no door handles, triangular mirrors, and the solo BAW all smoke and mirrors? Are these just nuggets being dropped for various photo ops? Will the final version have Bad Ass wheels, not Martian hubcaps? Will the windshield off road light be an option? Will turn signals be amber front and rear so as to comply with all export laws? I find missing reflectors and missing parking lights too significant to ignore. Can I have an AMEN?
